welcome aboard

Welcome to the GRANDMASTERs of HSL-46!

At HSL-46, our Sailors and their families are our most prized resource. It is the intent of this website to assist you in your transition to the Mayport area and into the squadron.

If you have received orders to HSL-46, you will soon become an integral member of the finest helicopter squadron in the Navy. Your tour in the greater Jacksonville area will be both challenging and rewarding.

Once we receive your orders, or hear from you in person, we will advise you as to who is assigned as your command sponsor and arrange to get a  Welcome Aboard package to you.  Please make contact with your sponsor to let him or her know what additional information or assistance is desired. With thorough planning, and your sponsor’s help, your PCS move should proceed smoothly!

Oftentimes, personnel straight from 'A' School receive orders just days before graduation resulting in insufficient time for the squadron to mail out a Welcome Aboard package. If you have not heard from the squadron since receipt of your orders, please contact the Command Master Chief at 904-270-6010, DSN 960-6010, or CLICK HERE to send an email as soon as possible.

The following web links and the Naval Station Mayport web site  provide information regarding general base information such as housing and other services that are available. Be sure to view the NS Mayport base map. Click here to view the HSL-46 Welcome Aboard Tri-Fold. Click Here

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact the squadron at 904-270-6010 or DSN 960-6010.
Our Command Ombudsman is also available to assist you and your family.
